Gamour And Watches

By Paul James Harrison

If you thought that only clothes can contribute to your style, think again. Today, watches define the style of men, women, teenagers and even children. Whether they are multicolored, sporty or elegant, watches have always been an important detail for any kind of look.

Today, watches are not just practical; a watch can tell many things about a person's social status, wealth, style, age. Thus, while a middle aged businessman will choose a classic designer watch, a cool teenager may want to impress the entourage with a more trendy sport watch. Career women may choose a classic business style watch without stones and bright colored straps, while high school students may pick a nylon multi-colored print strap with an original shape.

If you are searching for the perfect watch, there are websites that offer you good prices for genuine Swatch watches for men and women. Men can choose either a classic watch with leather strap and stainless steel case, or a metal (gold plated) bracelet water resistant watch powered by the movement of the body. Elegant women can get all the attention by wearing Seiko watches with shimmering bracelets. They come in different prices and shapes.

However, if you decide to shop online, make sure the Seiko watches you buy are all original products and not counterfeits with invalid manufacturers warranty. A serious shop must have the "authorized" logo. There are other methods of telling an original watch from a fake. An original watch also has a series of features that cannot be copied perfectly : manufacturers logo, serial numbers and other markings. Besides, a genuine luxury watch will only be sold by well known dealers.

Today, a watch can make a strong statement about the person wearing it. To be sure you look professional at work and fashionable when you go out, choose the model that suits your needs, style and income.

UFC 85 Flashback: Alves Dominates Hughes

By Ross Everett

A day after failing to make weight for his fight against Matt Hughes, Thiago Alves dominated the former UFC welterweight champion en route to a 2nd round TKO victory. The main event at UFC 85 in London was somewhat anticlimactic to the fans at the O2 Arena who considered the semifinal matchup between Manchester's Michael Bisping and Jason Day the biggest fight on the card.

Hughes didn't make any excuses following his one sided loss, saying simply that hes a good fighter and he got me. The longtime king of the UFCs welterweight division also gave notice that his career as an active fighter was drawing to a close, suggesting that he had one fight left and challenging Matt Serra in what presumably would be his retirement match. Hughes had no answer for Alves from the opening horn, as he was stuffed on several takedown attempts early on. When he did finally get his opponent to the ground he was unable to do much damage. Alves, conversely, scored effectively with his striking including several damaging knee strikes. He also did considerable work on the ground, with an elbow strike opening up a large cut on Hughes forehead. Though he didnt get to his knees a la Georges St. Pierre, Alves did make a plea to Dana White for a title shot. His failure to make weight wont help his cause, however, and judging from the UFC Presidents incredulous smirk in response that opportunity wont be immediately forthcoming.

The end came early in the 2nd round as Hughes was caught coming in by a devastating knee strike. He fell to the canvas in a heap and referee Herb Dean was jumping in to stop the contest before Alves could follow up with any punches. As the ringside physician entered the ring to check on the fallen fighter, Hughes gave an indication that his knee was injured.

Michael Bisping simply overwhelmed Jason Day en route to a lopsided TKO victory. Bisping built upon the improved boxing skills he demonstrated at UFC 83 by unveiling an impressive ground and pound attack. Day never really got anything going and by the last minute of the fight was simply trying to cover up to prevent damage from Bispings elbows and hammer fists. Between his move down to the middleweight division and his improved technical striking skills, Bisping looks like a different fighter.

In other action, Mike Swick used an array of high kicks and a 7 reach advantage to coast to a unanimous decision over Marcus Davis. Davis, a former professional boxer, was unable to get inside against his lanky opponent and was never really in the fight.

A controversial point deduction for a strike to the back of the head cost Nate Marquardt his match against Thales Leites. Marquardt was solidly in charge for the entire fight, but suffered a point deduction for an illegal knee strike in round one. While that infraction was valid, replays of the 2nd round deduction for the strike to the back of the head gave the impression that he was penalized for a legal strike to the side of the head. The 2 point deduction changed the outcome of the fight, with Leites winning a split decision by the scores of 28-27, 28-27, 27-28. Marquardt was obviously disappointed in the outcome, but to his credit handled the loss with class despite the questionable nature of the outcome.

In the opening PPV match, another controversial ending saw Fabrico Werdum defeat Brandon Vera by 1st round KO. The fight had been evenly contested up until the stoppage, with Werdum scoring a couple of takedown and Vera countering with some effective punching. Late in the first round, Werdum got a full mount and began to fire a series of punches. Vera was clearly defending himself and didnt appear to be hurt at all when the referee jumped in to stop the fight. Vera said that hed answered that he was OK when asked by ref Dan Miragliotta and that he was just trying to ride out the round from that position.

Why Odourless Paint Is The Safest Bet

By Kathryn Smith

Odorless paints are the answer to an old dilemma, one that may not have taken center stage very often but is nevertheless important: the problem of dealing with paint odors. Known colloquially as "paint stink", the heavy, lingering smell of a fresh paint job is not something many of us remember with a thrill of pleasure. Quite the reverse: due to a series of organic chemical compounds known as volatile organic compounds (VOC), the smell of paint has the potential to give us headaches and make us a lot sicker than we'd like to imagine, unless we come up with a solution.

VOCs have the potential to trigger side-effects, especially when used to paint indoor walls in houses where full ventilation may prove problematic. It is important to take into consideration this issue once the decision to repaint, redo or redecorate has been taken. An option which could be taken into account at this point is to use an odorless paint instead of a traditional one. Odorless paints have a lower concentration of VOCs and are therefore less noxious, less unpleasant and considerably less likely to cause side-effects than traditional paints.

Odorless paint is highly recommended when you want to repaint one or all of your rooms. It will make it easier to breath and you will not have any headache problems.

Odorless paints are typically extracted from clay (clay-based paint), milk or else limestone. Limestone-based paint is also suitable for painting outside walls as well as inside ones. Odorless paint can be used in virtually any type of environment - from nurseries to rooms used by individuals with respiratory sensitivities to chemical agents and respiratory afflictions such as asthma. This is made possible by the fact that is has a much lower VOC concentration that traditional paint and is not likely to trigger adverse reactions.

Odorless paints are also recommendable for environment-conscious individuals, and for those who like natural tones and would like to opt for natural-looking nuances for their inner walls.

Carolina Thumps Slumping Tampa Bay

By Ross Everett

Carolina Panthers' quarterback Jake Delhomme struggled on Sunday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and was fortunate that his running backs bailed him out. Delhomme threw for only 65 yards with two interceptions, but D'Angelo Williams (152 yards) and Jonathan Stewart (110 yards) kept the chains moving as the Panthers won their second straight game defeating the Bucs 28-21. Tampa Bay has now lost ten straight dating back to last season and are 0-6 for the first time since'85. The fact that they ended up starting that year 0-9 on their way to a 1-15 record doesn't bode well for the rest of the season. Carolina improved to 2-3 with the victory.

NFL sports bettors were faced with a choice between two teams with dismal ATS records in this game, and those who had the guts to take a 1-3 team as a -3 road favorite were rewarded with the cover. It was Carolina's first NFL pointspread cover of the season and left them with a 1-4 record against the number. Tampa Bay has covered one of their six games this year. The 49 points scored went OVER the total of 40'. Tampa Bay has gone OVER in 4 of 6, while Carolina has exceeded the total in three of their five games.

Delhomme attempted only seven passes in the second half, but the way Williams and Stewart were running there was no reason to put the ball in the air. Williams said that even though Tampa Bay knew what was coming they couldn't stop the Panthers' running game:

"I'm sure everybody in the stadium knew what we were going to do. There were times they had nine in the box and we were still getting 7 or 8 yards."

There's been little impatience locally with Bucs' rookie head coach Raheem Morris, but his weekly habit of explaining the obvious to rationalize yet another loss is starting to wear thin:

"We got overpowered at the end, and really throughout the game."

Carolina safety Dante Wesley was ejected after clobbering Bucs' return man Clifton Smith after a fair catch call. After the game, Wesley gave this defense for his actions:

"I was just trying to make a play. You can check my record. I've never really tried to hurt anybody. I've never tried to take a cheap shot on anybody."

Wesley could face a possible fine or suspension from the NFL but, in all fairness, it did appear to be a momentary mental lapse as he was trying to make a big play.

Tampa's schedule has the look of them going from 'the frying pan into the fire' as they host the New England Patriots next Sunday-fresh off of their 57 point drubbing of Tennessee. Carolina has an easier draw, hosting the Buffalo Bills next Sunday. The game is currently off the board pending the status of Bills' QB Trent Edwards who suffered a concussion in Sunday's win over the New York Jets. The Panthers will then play on the road the following two Sundays, traveling to Arizona and New Orleans.

Cheap Inkjet Cartridges At Your Doorstep

By Wassim Dossani

Gone are the days when people had to write everything down on paper with their hands. Technology has changed the way we do most things including the way we write and print too. Let us have a look at the world of printing and the various types of printer supplies.

The first type of printer is the inkjet one which uses an ink or inkjet cartridge. The cartridge is compact and replaceable. Ink cartridges dispense ink which may be oil or water based through holes in the cartridge. The HP ink cartridge is less costly as compared to laser toner cartridges.

Laser printers have become more popular owing to their speed and long life. During laser printing operation, data is converted to electric signals that activate the lasers towards a part called drum; the toner which is a fine and dry carbon-based powder mixed with a polymer, is then coated to the drum which rolls over the paper. The images or texts will now be imprinted on the paper with the help of static electricity. Empty toner cartridges can be refilled by three ways:

1. The original equipment manufacturer [OEM], for example Brother Toner, will refill your cartridge. But this is expensive. Printer manufacturers gain more profit from the sale of printing consumables such as toner cartridges than the actual sale of the printer unit.

2. The compatible cartridge is one which can be used in any printer even if not the same toner cartridge company.

3. The remanufactured type are used cartridges that are disassembled, cleaned, replaced with new parts if necessary, refilled with toner, packaged and then sold.

Thermal printers print on paper by melting a coating of ribbon so that it stays glued to the material on which the print is applied. The ribbon can be changed with either OEM ribbon or compatible ribbon.

Weigh the positives and negatives before deciding on which to buy.

As with other products, ink cartridges and toner cartridges can be bought online. It saves your time and also gets you some good discounts for bulk orders. All you need to do is find a website selling quality printer supplies online.

You can find affordable printer supplies online. You can get the best printer supplies online like quality ink cartridges, refill kits, laser toner cartridges, printers, fax machines, fax machine cartridges, transparencies, printer ribbons and photocopiers. Some sites give discounts of up to 50 to 80 percent with 100% guarantee. Most of the online sites deliver your orders at your doorstep and dispatch your order within 24 hours. You can choose your products from among the best companies in the world, namely Hewlett Packard, Lexmark, Premier, Canon, Oki, Brother, Ricoh, InfoPrint Solutions, Compatibles - 500 Series and Konica Minolta.

Underarm Substantial Sweating - Ways To Stop It

By Irvin Ewing

Most of the people are accustomed to the under arm sweating. It occurs due to some factors like hormonal disequilibria, taking food which are rich in caffeine, alcohol or spicy foods. These foods excite the nervous system resulting in excessive sweating. Unwarranted sweating could be felt in armpits, underarms or soles. How to stop the underarm sweat?

Excessive sweating happens not because of the soaps, detergents or clothes you use. So there is not any point in changing them frequently. Despite you can employ antiperspirants to stop the underarm sweat. The antiperspirants contain aluminum chloride which blocks the sweat in the channel through which the sweat reaches the outer surface of the skin. But there could be heavy irritation produced in the skin by employing the antiperspirants. Many of us understand how to stop underarm sweat using antiperspirants. But this is not the only cure.

The underarm sweating produces a lot of personal and social Problems. Wherever you go, it leaves you in an embarrass situation. The most terrible thing about this underarm sweating is the odour linked with the sweat. Normally the sweat doesn't contain any odour, but the bacteria present in them produces the irritating odour, adding more owes to the injury. This is the reason why many of us worry on how to stop the underarm sweat.

Therapies like procedures like Iontophoresis won't pay off. They produce the same result as that of the antiperspirants ; the only consolation is there won't be any pain. There are drugs that will help in that problem. Consult a physician to get a prescription. Ask also the probable side-effects that could be due to the drugs prescribed.

Surgery isn't a wise option as the whole sweat gland is removed absolutely. Using lemon juice in the sweating area after your shower may scale back the sweat. Or slicing a potato and cleaning the underarms, before applying the deodorants could be helpful. Taking showers 2 times a day, reducing the intake of spicy foods might be a nice choice ; on following this you'll come to an idea on ways to stop the underarm sweat.

UFC 98 Review: Karate Is Back As Machida Beats Evans

By Ross Everett

When golf legend Jack Nicklaus was still a young upstart in the sport and only starting to tear up PGA courses, legend Bobby Jones commented following 'The Golden Bear's''65 Masters win that "he plays a game with which I am not familiar". Following his absolute destruction of Rashad Evans in the main event of UFC 98, there's likely a few MMA fighters saying the same thing about the new light heavyweight champion Lyoto Machida who made it look easy en route to a 2nd round TKO victory.

The fight started slowly, with each man trying to get a feel for his opponent and wait him out to see who blinked first. Evans, who prefers to counter punch, quickly began to become uncomfortable with facing an adversary who didn't come right at him. Late in the first round, Machida went on offense with frightening suddenness, flooring Evans with a nice straight right hand. Evans gamely tried to fight back, but a final right hand from the Shotokan Karate master left him out cold.

After the fight UFC announcer Joe Rogan proclaimed the start of the Machida era and this is not just mere hyperbole. Machida is unlike any fighter before him, rooted in mastery of traditional martial arts but with the versatility of a modern MMA competitor. He's essentially a Mortal Kombat character come to life--in a more realistic cross disciplinary comparison he shares many of the same characteristics as boxing great Floyd Mayweather, Jr. as he combines insane handspeed, underrated stopping power and nearly impenetrable defense into an unorthodox and extremely lethal package.

The comparisons with the insanely talented but equally insanely arrogant Mayweather end when the final bell sounds. Outside of the cage, Machida is a modest and respectful gentleman who is quick to give credit to his father and his karate teachers for his MMA success. He spent most of his UFC 98 postfight interview not singing his own praises, but imploring others to strive to realize their dreams. In the past, his limited English was seen as a potential marketing liability here in the US but on this occasion he demonstrated vastly improved fluency in the language as a Portuguese translator stood by with his hands in his pockets. Almost overnight hes simply become a marketers dream.

An odd trivia note about Machida serves as further repudiation for MMA neophytes who think that the sports kinship with pro wrestling began with Brock Lesnar: Machida was discovered by Japanese wrestling legend Antonio Inoki, and became something of his protege. He trained for some time at the New Japan Pro Wrestling dojo in Tokyo and made his MMA debut on a NJPW card in 2003, defeating Pancrase veteran Kengo Watanabe.

Perhaps the most frightening thing about Machida is that hes only now reaching his full potential as an MMA fighter. In other words, hes only going to get better which is a scary prospect for opponents given the fact that hes never lost in MMA competition. Early in his UFC career he had a reputation as a boring fighter, but in his recent bouts hes shown a downright lethal ability to end fights.

Machida will very likely face Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson in a future light heavyweight title defense and, with all due respect to the PRIDE/UFC veteran, its difficult to see him faring much differently than Evans did. One thing working in 'Rampage's' favor is his greater experience and a resume filled with high level opponents of various fighting styles. Still, everyone comes back to the fundamental reality that no one has ever really seen a fighter quite like Machida before.

In the co-main event of the evening, Matt Hughes defeated Matt Serra by unanimous decision to gain the upperhand in their long running feud. It was a surprisingly entertaining fight, with Serra taking the first round with his power punching before Hughes used his takedown and ground control abilities to win rounds two and three.

St. Louis Rams Edge Cincinnati Bengals For NFL Preseason Win

sBy Ross Everett

Kyle Boller filled in for an injured Mark Bulger, and the St. Louis Rams improved to 2-1 on the NFL preseason with a 24-21 victory over the host Cincinnati Bengals. The Rams led 24-14 heading into the fourth quarter, but a Bengals TD early in the frame made for some drama down the stretch. The Bengals couldn't close the deal, however, and dropped to 1-2 on the NFL preseason.

Boller did withstand a hard hit from linebacker Keith Rivers that knocked his helmet off his head. Rather than leave the game, he calmly picked up his helmet and finished the drive. After the game, he talked about the play:

"I could have slid a little earlier. It is what it is. My chin strap hit just above my eyes. It was a good scramble, but maybe if I can get down a little sooner, the coaches would like that."

Rivers also commented on the play, insisting that the hard hit wasnt intentional:

"I was just trying to get to the ball. It wasn't anything intentional."

Boller had struggled last week but played well this week. Rams coach Steve Spagnuolo gave him credit in his postgame comments:

"He moved the team. He drove us down there after the bad start. When you score on a drive, the quarterback deserves the credit."

Bengals second string QB J.T. O'Sullivan didnt have it quite so easy"he was sacked three times, lost a fumble and had two passes deflected by linemen. The lost fumble added to the Bengals NFL preseason turnover woes"theyve lost five fumbles and thrown three interceptions for eight turnovers in three games. O'Sullivan talked about the problem after the game:

"We've just got to find a way to eliminate it. It puts you in such a disadvantage any time you turn the ball over. That's one of the things that has to change immediately."

Head coach Marvin Lewis agreed:

"When you turn the football over, you have a difficult time winning, whether you're playing in the regular season, the preseason, junior high, sixth grade, whatever it is.

St. Louis will get the NFL regular season underway on Sunday, September 13th as they travel to the Pacific Northwest to face the Seattle Seahawks. The Bengals open the NFL regular season at home against the Denver Broncos.

Blue Jackets Blow Lead, Lose To Penguins In Shootout

By Ross Everett

The Columbus Blue Jackets learned a valuable lesson about NHL hockey on Friday night-it's dangerous to 'sit on a lead' and particularly against the defending Stanley Cup champion Pittsburgh Penguins. Down 3-1, Pittsburgh tied the game late in the third period as Ruslan Fedotenko and Alex Goligoski each lit the lamp with less than three minutes remaining. After a scoreless overtime period, Sidney Crosby scored the only goal of the shootout to give the Penguins an improbable 4-3 victory. It was the 9th win in ten games for Pittsburgh, who are a perfect 6-0-0 on the road.

NHL hockey betting enthusiasts cashed wagers on the road underdog Penguins, but on the moneyline at +117 and the puckline. Pittsburgh has gotten off to a great start this year, going 11-2-0 in the first month of the season. Columbus is struggling to stay above .500 at 6-5-1. The 7 combined goals scored went OVER the posted total of 5'. The Blue Jackets have gone OVER in 7 of 12 games this season, while the Penguins have a NHL totals mark of 5-7-1.

Crosby's game winning score in overtime wasn't exactly the stuff of highlight reels, with the puck barely trickling over the line:

"It was kind of a fluky. The puck kept going. I don't know if he lost it or he didn't know where it was or whatever. I just tried a quick shot. I thought he had the save there. It just trickled in."

Jackets' goalie Steve Mason gave this version of events:

"It hit my stick and I didn't get it settled until it was over the line. It just trickled over and I was too late on it."

Penguins' left winger Chris Kunitz scored a shorthanded goal and praised the leadership abilities of team captain Crosby:

"It shows a lot of character from our captain. He goes out and he's never quitting on anything. Sometimes a team goes packing, down by two with 3 minutes left. But he goes out, he's on the bench, he's saying, 'Let's get the next one.' So we go out there and he finds himself the puck and he gets it to Goligoski, he gets a great shot and puts it in the net to get us to overtime."

Columbus' Rick Nash suggested that his team is having trouble 'closing out' games:

"We're not closing games. We got the lead in a lot of the games already and just can't seem to close it out. They are the defending Stanley Cup champions. You can tell why they're such a good team. We are a team that needs to learn how to play with the lead."

Pittsburgh will host Minnesota on Saturday night before heading to southern California next week for games against the Los Angeles Kings and Anaheim Ducks. Columbus will play at Washington on Sunday before hosting the San Jose Sharks next Wednesday. That'll be followed by a game in Atlanta against the Thrashers the next night.

An Introduction To NFL Preseason Handicapping

sBy Ross Everett

Among the sports betting public there's a lot of conflicting opinions about betting NFL preseason games. That's not really surprising, since there doesn't seem to be much middle ground on the subject. Overly cautious handicappers would argue that preseason football is a poor wagering opportunity. Some of the more obnoxious tout services would have you believe that short of a fixed game there is no greater "lock" that preseason football. Like most things that produce such polarized opinions, the truth is probably somewhere in the middle of the two extremes. Preseason NFL football is a unique proposition for the sports gambler, but when approached with caution, discipline and knowledge it can yield some profit.

First, let's examine the case against preseason NFL wagering. Clearly the biggest argument against it is the simple fact that the games don't count. Though spots will exist during regular season games when the motivation and preparation of individual teams may vary, in theory both teams want to win. That's not always the case in preseason football, since different coaches have different goals. Some might want to just evaluate their personnel, others might want to establish a winning attitude, and all coaches want to keep their stars from getting injured. Factor in all of the variables and conflicting agendas, the preseason naysayer would argue, and there are just too many unknowns to consider taking a financial position on.

The preseason NFL betting enthusiast would suggest, however, that it is the uncertainty that characterizes these games that makes for such a strong wagering opportunity. For example, in a matchup between a championship level team and a losing team you often see strongly divergent approaches to the game. Successful teams have more to worry about in terms of player injuries, fewer areas in which they need to evaluate talent, and more continuity in the areas of coaching and team chemistry. They often view preseason games as a chore, and have little interest in their outcome as long as they keep their superstars healthy.

NFL 'doormats', meanwhile, have a markedly different agenda to their more successful counterparts. They've often got heated competition for starting positions or key back up roles. They've often got new coaching staffs that players want to impress. Most significantly, they're in great need of establishing a winning attitude. A win against an elite team in a 'meaningless' preseason game often has a much greater value to this type of team than to a playoff contender.

Even among teams that don't worry much about wins and losses during the preseason, they don't want to go into the season losing them all. For that reason, one of the most successful preseason situations over the past decade and a half have been teams that lost their first two preseason affairs. During that span, 0-2 teams have hit right around 60% against the spread.

Perhaps nothing determines a team's approach to the preseason more than the philosophy of the head coach. Some coaches simply hate to lose anytime they line 'em up to play football, and as a result their teams are usually good preseason bets. Bill Parcells was famous for the preseason focus of his teams. Not surprisingly, many who worked with Parcells earlier in their careers are now carving out their own records of preseason success. This sort of dominance isn't lost on the linesmaker and a coach like the Giants' Tom Coughlin (a former Parcells assistant) will have his ATS success will definitely been factored into the pointspread. Still, a motivated team that wants to win is always worthy of consideration.

The smart preseason handicapper makes use of the Internet, and more specifically uses it to follow the local sports media of NFL teams. During NFL preseasons, teams' beat writers are anxious to write stories and need to fill articles but have little in the way of "real" news to write about. As a result, a handicapper can frequently find valuable details like a coach's goals for the game, playing time for key players, and specific strategies that will be implemented. Occasionally, coaches will come out and say that they're more interested in evaluating certain players for certain positions than they are in the outcome of the game. A thorough evaluation of this type of media coverage can often produce not only teams to play "on", but teams with priorities other than winning to play "against".

In closing, the best advice is to not be afraid of wagering on preseason football, but to not get too excited about it either. It's a good chance to grind out a small profit, but definitely not the moneymaking opportunity of a lifetime. There will be plenty of other"and better"football wagering opportunities down the road. Discipline and self-control is always in your best interest when betting on sports, and that certainly is the case in the preseason NFL.
